Common use of Substantiation Clause in Contracts

Substantiation. A. An employee shall substantiate the use of sick leave to his/her department head. B. No sick leave allowance will be made for the day before or after a holiday, or scheduled days off, without presenting a doctor's certificate of illness; but, a department head, at his/her discretion, can waive the need for a doctors certificate of illness.
