Common use of Substation Electricians Clause in Contracts

Substation Electricians. All Air break switch installations on individual wood poles, wood switching structures, steel poles and steel transmission line towers, shall be assigned to Linemen; and in cases of emergency, or to avoid service interruptions or to promptly restore service, Linemen may be required to also make repairs to and adjustments of all switches irrespective of their location. Minor needed repairs to and adjustments of said switches necessitating arranged-for interruptions, may also be required to be made by Linemen when Substation Electricians are not available or when the location of the work is at such distance that assignment to Electricians would result in serious delay or excessive travel time.
