Supervision by VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA CHESAPEAKE. CAROLINAS • The Director or designee is responsible for the overall supervision of the persons served and the coordination of the various departmental functions in relation to the person’s program. • The Director or designee is expected to monitor the program of the persons served and keep the DORS counselors informed as to progress and problems, if any. • Supervision of the DORS consumer shall include: o Maintenance of attendance and progress reports. o Direct instruction/evaluation of course content. o Interpretation and enforcement of the policies, rules and regulations pertaining to the orderly operation of VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA CHESAPEAKE & CAROLINAS program. o Reporting any irregularities in the program of the DORS consumer. • Criminal Background Check: o Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas is responsible for ensuring that its employees, agents, volunteers, and contractors, who provide services to DORS consumers under this cooperative agreement, are fingerprinted and have a background check consistent with Family Law Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, Section 5-551 through 5-557 and CARF Employment and Community Services Standards Manual.
