Supplemental Unemployment Benefits on Parental/Adoption Leave. a. Paid leave of up to two (2) days shall be granted an employee receiving an adopted child. b. When a teacher takes the parental/adoptive leave to which they are entitled pursuant to the Employment Standards Act, the Board shall pay the teacher: i. 75% (seventy-five percent) of their current salary for the first two weeks of the leave which falls during times when school is in session; ii. the difference between 75% (seventy-five percent) of their current salary and the amount of E.I. parental/adoptive benefits received by the teacher, for a further ten (10) weeks provided that period falls when school is in session.
