Suspension of Accrual. Layoff, or taking of a Leave of Absence shall constitute an interruption of the employee’s continuous service and accrual of seniority shall terminate, but previously accrued seniority shall not be lost. In the case of a medical Leave of Absence or fellowship (paid or unpaid) up to one (1) year in length, accrual of seniority shall not be suspended.
