Common use of Suspension of Work and Termination Clause in Contracts

Suspension of Work and Termination. OWNER May Suspend Work: 14.1 OWNER may, at any time and without cause, suspend the Work or any portion thereof for a period of not more than ninety days by notice in writing to CONTRACTOR and PROJECT MANAGER that shall fix the date on which Work shall be resumed. CONTRACTOR shall resume the Work on the date so fixed. CONTRACTOR will be allowed to apply for an increase in the Contract Price or an extension of the Contract Time, or both, directly attributable to any suspension if he makes a claim therefore as provided in Articles 10 and 11. However, if the OWNER stops the Work for just cause because the CONTRACTOR is not complying with the plans and specifications or the intent thereof, or any provision of this Contract, then CONTRACTOR shall have no claim for damages, hindrances, or delays.
