Suspension Pending Investigation. An employee may be immediately suspended pending an investigation and completion of the due process steps if his/her continued presence on the job would constitute a safety hazard to himself/herself or to other employees or be potentially detrimental to County operations. Such suspension shall be with pay.

Suspension Pending Investigation. Such suspension may be without pay, however, if after the investigation the employee is reinstated without being disciplined, the employee shall receive all lost pay and benefits for the period of the suspension. No employee shall be with paysuspended for more than three (3) weeks for the purpose of investigation pending further discipline.
