Common use of Sweeper Speed Clause in Contracts

Sweeper Speed. CONTRACTOR shall operate the sweepers at a speed of not 18 more than six (6) miles per hour when sweeping or when the sweeper brooms are down, unless 19 CONTRACTOR can demonstrate that the sweeper can operate efficiently and safely at a higher 20 speed. CITY will use industry standards, Environmental Protection Agency information, and the 21 sweeper manufacturer's recommendation on the speed of sweepers when considering speeds 22 greater than six (6) miles per hour.
