Common use of Tax-Exempt Status Clause in Contracts

Tax-Exempt Status. The Town represents that it is exempt from federal excise, state, and local taxes, and that sales to it are exempted from Massachusetts sales and use tax. If in the future the Town becomes subject to any such taxes, the Town shall reimburse the Contractor for the tax paid by the Contractor on behalf of the Town. Any other taxes imposed on the Contractor shall be borne solely by the Contractor.
