TEACHERS - SUBSTITUTING. In the absence of a teacher, every effort shall be made to secure a qualified substitute teacher to assume the duties of the absent teacher. Except in cases of emergency, teachers may be asked, but not required, to serve as substitutes. Payment for teachers who substitute shall be: $12.50 per planning period up to thirty (30) minutes in length $25.00 per planning period between thirty (30) and sixty (60) minutes in length Lead teacher in charge in building in the absence of the principal: $25.00 for up to 1/2 day $50 for a full day
