Common use of Team Teaching Clause in Contracts

Team Teaching. 1. A review committee consisting of the building principal, a representative from central office, a regular education teacher, and a special education teacher will meet to review concerns regarding the ratio of special needs students to regular education students in all classes where a concern exists. To the extent possible, adjustments will be made to provide the most effective learning groupings for the entire school. 2. Teaming assignments will be determined as soon as possible during the scheduling process. When possible and practical, teams will be assigned a common planning period in order to maximize the effectiveness of the team taught classes. Release time, as approved by the building principal, will be provided when common planning time is not available. 3. Every effort will be made to have teams that are compatible.
