Technological Change Committee. A Technological Change Committee shall be established consisting of three (3) representatives of the Employer and three (3) representatives of the Union. Technological Change Committee. 1) When computer or video display equipment is to be installed by the Regional District Board, discussions with respect to their effect on the working environment shall be introduced at a Joint Health and Safety Committee meeting, prior to installation of the said equipment. Any additional meetings shall take place at the request of the Union or the Employer to the view of making joint decisions regarding the introduction of technological change and its anticipated impact, so that the problems and negative consequences can be avoided. 2) If the matter cannot be resolved, either party may refer it to an Arbitration Board pursuant to Article 8.
Technological Change Committee. A technological change committee shall be established to deal with any matters arising from any proposed technological change(s); (a) The structure of the committee shall be comprised of a representative of the Union from each of the school units and equal representative from the Employers; (b) The committee shall enjoy the full support of both parties in the interests of improved service to the public and job security for the employees; (c) The committee shall have full authority to consider all matters of technological change; and to make recommendations to offset any adverse effects of such change(s); (d) The committee does not have the power to bind either the Union or its members or the Employer(s) to any decisions or conclusions reached in their discussions; (e) Members of the committee shall not suffer any loss of pay or benefits for time spent in meetings of the committee; (f) Either party has the authority to call meetings of the committee upon giving twenty-four (24) hours notice; (g) The parties shall enjoy the right to have any necessary additional representatives or witnesses when dealing with any matter related to any technological change(s); (h) The committee shall make known to the Union, Employers and the Minister all matters that they may be dealing with any recommendations they may arrive at.
