Telephone Call-In. (a) The Employer shall call by telephone only those casual employees on the register at a number provided by the employee. The Employer shall commence by calling the most senior employee in the register who meets the criteria specified in (E)(I). The Employer shall permit the telephone to ring a minimum of eight (8) times. (b) All such calls shall be recorded in a log book showing the signature of the person making the call, the employee called, the position they are being called to fill, the time the call was made, whether the employee accepts or declines the invitation to work or fails to answer the telephone. In the event of a dispute the Union shall have reasonable access to the log book and shall be entitled to make copies. (c) In the event that relief is requested with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice, the date and time of the notification shall be recorded in the log book.
