Temporary Upgrade Within The Unit. When a secretary is required to temporarily assume the duties of a higher level for a period greater than one (1) week and no longer functions exclusively in the duties of his/her own level, upon the sixth day of upgrade, said secretary will begin to receive compensation retroactive to the first day when new duties were assumed commensurate with the proper guide step and level of that position.
