Common use of Term Appointment Clause in Contracts

Term Appointment. a) Term appointments may be made for varying periods of time up to and including thirty-six (36) months. b) Term appointments do not imply that the appointee is on probation for a permanent appointment. c) In the event that a Librarian holding a term appointment is given a probationary appointment, the probationary period may be reduced on a year-for-year basis for any time served in a librarian rank on a term appointment.
