Common use of Term Appointments Clause in Contracts

Term Appointments. β€Œ 4.10.1 In order to be considered for term appointments a faculty member must meet the hiring criteria applicable to the available position and not have received an unsuccessful evaluation as per Article 16, (Evaluation of Probationary Regular and Term Faculty Members). 4.10.2 Before any term appointment is made in a department or area, all regular faculty members who are eligible for recall as per Article 11.9, (Recall) shall be recalled. 4.10.3 Term appointments to a maximum of full-time status shall then be offered to interested part-time regular faculty members within the area concerned on the basis of seniority as defined in Article 10.1, (Definition and Calculation of Seniority). 4.10.4 Part-time regular faculty members may indicate their interest in term appointments by writing to the appropriate Xxxx or Director at least one month prior to the commencement of any appointment to which they are entitled. There shall be no entitlement to work in progress.
