Common use of Term; Dates Clause in Contracts

Term; Dates. 2.1 The term of the Executive’s employment shall commence on the Effective Date (as defined below) and continue until the fifth annual anniversary thereof (the “Employment Agreement Term”), unless earlier terminated in accordance with this Agreement. 2.2 This Agreement refers to the dates defined in this section, as follows: (i) the date of commencement of employment is the “Effective Date”, which date shall be deemed the date on which the registration statement of the Employer for the registered distribution of its shares of common stock to the stockholders of CKX (the “Registered Distribution”) is declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”); (ii) the period of time during which the Executive is an employee of the Employer pursuant to and in accordance with the terms and provisions of this Agreement is hereinafter referred to as the “Term”; and (iii) the last date of employment is the “Expiration Date.”
