Common use of Terrorism Exclusion Endorsement Clause in Contracts

Terrorism Exclusion Endorsement. The Policy does not cover any loss, damage, liability, cost or expense of whatsoever nature di rectly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any act of terrorism regardless of any other cause or event contributing c oncurrently or in any other sequence to the loss. For the purpos e of this endorsement an act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of violence and/or threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organis ation(s ) or government(s), committed for political or other purposes including the intention to influence an y government and/or to put the public or any section of the public in fear. This endorsement also excludes loss, damage, liability, cost or expense of what soever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in c ontrolling, preventing, s uppres s ing or in an y way relating to any act of terrorism. If we allege that by reason of this exclusion, any loss, dam age, liability, cost or expens e is not covered by this Polic y the burden of proving the contrary shall be upon you.
