Common use of Textbooks Clause in Contracts

Textbooks. Except in courses/sections where texts are mandated, an Employee will have the right to select a text of his or her own choosing subject to the approval of the Associate Xxxx or designee. In courses/sections in which texts are mandated, Employees may express their thoughts or make suggestions as to the texts to be used. The College or department will make arrangements for Employees to be able to obtain texts when provided free of charge by the publisher. Any instructional materials that the Associate Xxxx or designee requires to be used in teaching a course or that are required of students taking the course will be made available at no cost to the Employee.
