The New Zealand Ambulance Service Strategy. The New Zealand Ambulance Service Strategy3 (the Strategy) was announced in June 2009. The Strategy was developed by the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and the Ministry in consultation with the ambulance sector and other stakeholders. The Strategy provides a framework for future development and growth of emergency ambulance services, and ongoing collaboration between Crown, sector and stakeholders. The 10 initiatives from the Strategy were developed taking into consideration advice and recommendations following several reviews of the Ambulance Sector. These initiatives have been prioritised and are being implemented over time.
