Common use of The Owner’s Representative Clause in Contracts

The Owner’s Representative. 1.5.1 Subject to review of the Owner, the Owner’s Representative shall have the power, in the first instance, to inspect, supervise, guide and manage the performance of the Contract Work. The Owner’s Representative’s authority is more specifically enumerated in Article 17. 1.5.2 The Owner’s Representative shall not, however, have the power to issue a Change Order unless the Owner has provided written authorization to the contrary. All Change Orders must be issued by the Owner in accordance with Article 5 of these General Terms and Conditions, unless the Owner has provided written authorization to the contrary.
