Common use of The Working With Children Clause in Contracts

The Working With Children. Check (WWCC) is a legal requirement that applies to persons who work or volunteer with children (U18 years old). It checks the background of persons who work or volunteer with children in sport clubs, schools, childcare centres, community groups, Churches and other organisations. Once you verify a WWCC you must keep appropriate records that proves your members are cleared to work with children. You must also provide this record to the NSWTA. Each Affiliate must register as an employee, have all Coach/Managers/Officials undergo the prescribed check and verify all and report to the NSWTA prior to the event. Please refer to the accompanying Working With Children Check documentation to understand the process required. • WWC NSWTA Letter to Affiliates • WWCC Xxxx Xxxxx For Affiliates • WWCC Database Template N.B. WWCC clearances obtained in 2013-2015 will require renewal under WWCC legislation. Please check your Affiliate/Region database for anyone that requires renewal. All Affiliate are to adopt the NSWTA Youth Coach Guidelines.
