Common use of Three-Year Regular Contract Clause in Contracts

Three-Year Regular Contract. 10.3.1.1 The first contract for a regular faculty member shall be for a three-year period. The first year of the three-year contract shall be a probationary period and the contract is subject to termination by the College President or delegate at any time upon three (3) months' notice during the probationary period. However, for faculty who have completed the equivalent of two (2) full-time years of duty, this one-year period shall be considered as non-probationary. Except for temporary contracts in accordance with Article 10.3.5.1 and substitute contracts in accordance with Article 2.1.4, all faculty shall be hired initially on three-year regular contracts.
