Appointments of Faculty Members. All appointments shall be to one (1) of the following ranks: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Appointments to the rank of Assistant Professor or above may be designated as "Visiting" or "Research" as set out in this Collective Agreement. Appointments of Faculty Members to the honorary rank of University Professor may be made by the University of New Brunswick upon recommendation of Senate, using the criteria adopted by Senate and the Board of Governors.

Appointments of Faculty Members. All appointments shall be to one (1) of the following ranks: Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Appointments to the rank of Assistant Professor or above may be designated as "Visiting" or "Research" as set out in this Collective Agreement. Appointments of faculty members to the honorary rank of University Professor may be made by the University of New Brunswick upon recommendation of Senate, using the criteria adopted by Senate and the Board of Governors. An appointment may be designated as "Research" when the principal responsibility of the faculty member is to conduct research. Appointments of faculty members shall be made in accordance with Article only after the positions have been advertised by the University of New Brunswick on both campuses and in appropriate publications, in either print or electronic versions, which shall include at least university the Bulletin and one (1) Canadian professional publication, if such exists, suggested by the Academic Department. The University of New Brunswick may also advertise in other professional publications when so recommended by the Academic Department concerned. Where appointments must be made urgently for sound academic reasons, exceptions to this practice may be authorized by the President of the University, who shall inform the Association immediately giving these reasons. Such exceptions shall be limited to term appointments. Appointments of faculty members shall be of three (3) types: probationary, tenured, and term. All new appointments to the rank of Lecturer shall be term appointments. For all new appointments the rank, type of appointment, salary, credit for previous experience, the length of the employment in the case of term appointments, and any special applicable conditions and responsibilities shall be determined by the University of New Brunswick in accordance with this Collective Agreement. For appointments to positions in the bargaining unit, the University of New Brunswick shall take into account any recommendations of the appropriate Assessment Committees concerning these matters for any proposed appointees.

  • Appointment of FTIS The Investment Company hereby appoints FTIS as transfer agent for Shares of the Investment Company, as service agent in connection with dividend and distribution functions, and as shareholder servicing agent for the Investment Company, and FTIS accepts such appointment and agrees to perform the following duties.

  • Appointment of Foreign Sub-Custodians The Fund hereby authorizes and instructs the Custodian to employ as sub-custodians for the Portfolio's securities and other assets maintained outside the United States the foreign banking institutions and foreign securities depositories designated on Schedule A hereto (the "foreign sub-custodians"). Upon receipt of Proper Instructions, together with a certified resolution of the Board of Trustees, the Custodian and the Fund on behalf of the Portfolio(s) may agree to amend Schedule A hereto from time to time to designate additional foreign banking institutions and foreign securities depositories to act as sub-custodian. Upon receipt of Proper Instructions, the Fund may instruct the Custodian to cease the employment of any one or more such foreign sub-custodians for maintaining custody of the Portfolio's assets.

  • Appointment of Auditors 33.2.1 The Concessionaire shall appoint, and have during the subsistence of this Agreement as its Statutory Auditors, a firm chosen by it from the mutually agreed list of 10 (ten) reputable firms of chartered accountants (the “Panel of Chartered Accountants”), such list to be prepared substantially in accordance with the criteria set forth in Schedule-T. All fees and expenses of the Statutory Auditors shall be borne by the Concessionaire. 33.2.2 The Concessionaire may terminate the appointment of its Statutory Auditors after a notice of 45 (forty five) days to the Authority, subject to the replacement Statutory Auditors being appointed from the Panel of Chartered Accountants. 33.2.3 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement, the Authority shall have the right, but not the obligation, to appoint at its cost from time to time and at anytime, another firm (the “Additional Auditors”) from the Panel of Chartered Accountants to audit and verify all those matters, expenses, costs, realisations and things which the Statutory Auditors are required to do, undertake or certify pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Appointment and Removal of Directors The Directors shall be appointed and may be removed as follows: 4.2.1 The governing body of each Party shall appoint and designate in writing one regular Director who shall be authorized to act for and on behalf of the Party on matters within the powers of the Authority. The governing body of each Party also shall appoint and designate in writing one alternate Director who may vote on matters when the regular Director is absent from a Board meeting. The person appointed and designated as the Director or the alternate Director shall be a member of the governing body of the Party. 4.2.2 The Operating Rules and Regulations, to be developed and approved by the Board in accordance with Section 2.5.11, shall specify the reasons for and process associated with the removal of an individual Director for cause. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no Party shall be deprived of its right to seat a Director on the Board and any such Party for which its Director and/or alternate Director has been removed may appoint a replacement.

  • Appointment of Agents The Custodian may at any time or times in its discretion appoint (and may at any time remove) any other bank or trust company which is itself qualified under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, to act as a custodian, as its agent to carry out such of the provisions of this Article 2 as the Custodian may from time to time direct; provided, however, that the appointment of any agent shall not relieve the Custodian of its responsibilities or liabilities hereunder.

  • Appointment of Arbitrators 1. Except to the extent that the competent authorities of the Contracting States mutually agree on different rules, paragraphs 2 through 4 shall apply for the purposes of Articles 24A to 24H. 2. The following rules shall govern the appointment of the members of an arbitration panel: (a) The arbitration panel shall consist of three individual members with expertise or experience in international tax matters. (b) Each competent authority shall appoint one panel member within 60 days of the date of the request for arbitration under paragraph 1 of Article 24A (Mandatory Binding Arbitration). The two panel members so appointed shall, within 60 days of the latter of their appointments, appoint a third member who shall serve as Chair of the arbitration panel. The Chair shall not be a national or resident of either Contracting State. (c) Each member appointed to the arbitration panel must be impartial and independent of the competent authorities, tax administrations, and ministries of finance of the Contracting States and of all persons directly affected by the case (as well as their advisors) at the time of accepting an appointment, maintain his or her impartiality and independence throughout the proceedings, and avoid any conduct for a reasonable period of time thereafter which may damage the appearance of impartiality and independence of the arbitrators with respect to the proceedings. 3. In the event that the competent authority of a Contracting State fails to appoint a member of the arbitration panel in the manner and within the time periods specified in paragraph 2 or agreed to by the competent authorities of the Contracting States, a member shall be appointed on behalf of that competent authority by the highest ranking official of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development that is not a national of either Contracting State. 4. If the two initial members of the arbitration panel fail to appoint the Chair in the manner and within the time periods specified in paragraph 2 or agreed to by the competent authorities of the Contracting States, the Chair shall be appointed by the highest ranking official of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development that is not a national of either Contracting State.

  • Appointment and Designation of Master Servicer The Purchaser hereby appoints and designates Aurora Loan Services, Inc. as its master servicer (the "Master Servicer") for the Mortgage Loans subject to this Agreement. The Company is hereby authorized and instructed to take any and all instructions with respect to servicing the Mortgage Loans hereunder as if the Master Servicer were the Purchaser hereunder. The authorization and instruction set forth herein shall remain in effect until such time as the Company shall receive written instruction from the Purchaser that such authorization and instruction is terminated.

  • Appointment of Custodians The Trustee may, with the consent of the Depositor and the Master Servicer appoint one or more Custodians to hold all or a portion of the Mortgage Files as agent for the Trustee, by entering into a Custodial Agreement. The appointment of any Custodian may at any time be terminated and a substitute Custodian appointed therefor upon the reasonable request of the Master Servicer to the Trustee, the consent to which shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Trustee shall pay any and all fees and expenses of any Custodian in accordance with each Custodial Agreement (provided that if expenses of the kind that would be reimbursable to the Trustee pursuant to Section 8.05 if incurred by the Trustee are incurred by the Custodian, the Trustee shall be entitled to reimbursement under Section 8.05 for such kind of expenses to the extent the Trustee has paid such expenses on behalf of the Custodian or for which the Trustee has reimbursed the Custodian). The Trustee initially appoints the Custodian as Custodian, and the Depositor and the Master Servicer consent to such appointment. Subject to Article VIII hereof, the Trustee agrees to comply with the terms of each Custodial Agreement and to enforce the terms and provisions thereof against the Custodian for the benefit of the Certificateholders having an interest in any Mortgage File held by such Custodian. Each Custodian shall be a depository institution or trust company subject to supervision by federal or state authority, shall have combined capital and surplus of at least $10,000,000 and shall be qualified to do business in the jurisdiction in which it holds any Mortgage File. Each Custodial Agreement may be amended only as provided in Section 11.01. In no event shall the appointment of any Custodian pursuant to a Custodial Agreement diminish the obligations of the Trustee hereunder.

  • Appointment of Stewards A. The Union will certify to the Employer in writing a xxxxxxx or stewards and alternates in accordance with the following general guidelines.
