Time for Filing Application. Application for parental leave shall be made no fewer than thirty (30) days before the anticipated beginning date of the parental leave but in no case fewer than forty-five (45) days prior to the beginning of the following school year. In the case of adoption, strict adherence to the thirty (30) days is waived but notification shall be given as soon as possible after the teacher is advised of the availability of a child.
