Common use of Time of Submission and Owner’s Review Clause in Contracts

Time of Submission and Owner’s Review. All Required Submittals shall be provided to Owner no later than the time, if any, specified in this Contract for their submission or, if no time for submission is specified, in sufficient time, in Owner’s sole opinion, to permit Owner to review the same prior to the commencement of the part of the Work to which they relate and prior to the purchase of any equipment, materials, or supplies that they describe. Owner shall have the right to require such corrections as may be necessary to make such submittals conform to this Contract. All such submittals shall, after final processing and review with no exception noted by Owner, become a part of this Contract. No Work related to any submittal shall be performed by Contractor until Owner has completed review of such submittal with no exception noted. Owner’s review and stamping of any Required Submittal shall be for the sole purpose of examining the general management, design, and details of the proposed Work, shall not relieve Contractor of the entire responsibility for the performance of the Work in full compliance with, and as required by or pursuant to this Contract, and shall not be regarded as any assumption of risk or liability by Owner.
