Topographical Mapping/Survey Control. The Consultant shall: • Provide field reconnaissance to determine location of monuments, control ties, and other physical features or evidence that may affect the boundary of the project. Conduct field measurements necessary to relate the position of physical evidence pertinent to the boundaries of the project and make computations to verify correctness of field data acquired in accordance with the Nevada Administrative Code Minimum Standards of Practice for Professional Land Surveyors. • Research existing surveys, parcel maps, subdivision maps, ownership records, and other record documents as necessary to obtain needed data for the analysis of existing monumentation necessary for the preparation of section lines, project street centerlines and rights of ways for the project. • Complete detailed searches for monumentation and acquire other information as necessary to complete a Record of Survey. A post construction Record of Survey will be prepared by the Consultant as required, including replacement of monuments disturbed by the project’s construction and will be included in the special services. • Provide a Horizontal Control Plan depicting the horizontal and vertical controls to be used constructing the project. • Provide field survey to horizontally and vertically locate existing utilities and other facilities in the boundary of the proposed improvements, and locate edge of pavement match points, grade breaks, and any other improvements which may affect design. • Conduct field design surveys to collect horizontal and vertical control for up to one hundred ten (110) pothole locations (50 potholes for 30 percent design level and 60 potholes for 70 percent design level). • Provide overall horizontal control to establish the coordinate system and basis of bearings (CNLV UDTM). • Provide vertical control tied to the City benchmark system. • Provide topographic mapping (aerial, 1’ contour intervals, 1” = 40’ scale AutoCAD format files) using values obtained above. The City shall provide a monument inventory and location only at ¼ to ½ mile intervals.
