Training and Experience. In addition to the experience, skills and knowledge requirements specified for pay point 5 (as defined), not more than one further year of practical experience as defined in the provision of nursing care and/or services:
(i) The undertaking of in service training, subject to its provision by the employing agency, of not less than 160 hours accumulated since registration. This may include successful completion of Self Directed Learning Packages, or
(ii) The successful completion of two post basic modules relevant to the work undertaken, within the Certificate IV (Nursing), subject to their availability, or
(iii) The undertaking of in service training (which may include Self Directed Learning Packages) subject to its provision by the employing agency of not less than 120 hours accumulated since registration and the successful completion of one post basic module relevant to the work undertaken with the Certificate IV (Nursing) subject to their availability.
Training and Experience. Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these knowledge and abilities would be:
Training and Experience. Training in the maintenance of a radio system and radios that are the same or significantly similar to the one used by Portland/South Portland. A minimum of 5 years experience in the maintenance and programming of radios that are the same or significantly similar to the ones used in Portland/South Portland. Experience working with a Vocal alarm system that is the same or significantly similar to the Zetron system used by Portland Regional Communications. IMSA Fire Alarm Certification – Municipal Level I&II and Interior Level I, are desirable. Valid State of Maine Class “C” driver’s license Electricians Helper’s License (within 30 days for new hires).
