Training of Skilled Work Force. It has been and will continue to be the practice of the Company to provide such training as may be necessary in the plant to maintain the knowledge, aptitudes and abilities of their skilled work force in keeping with advanced techniques and up-to-date improvements in methods of performing work. STATEMENT OF POLICY One Hour Wage Rule During the negotiations for the current Collective Agreement the parties discussed the effect on an employee's wage rate when the employee is temporarily transferred by Management to a classification paying a higher wage rate. As a result, Management is prepared to state that in the event an employee is temporarily assigned to a higher rated job classification on any given day, the employee will be compensated at the higher rate for all hours worked on that day, providing the employee works on such higher rated job classification for one (1) continuous hour or more.
