Since the frequent transfer of teachers from one school to another is disruptive of the education process and interferes with optimum teacher performance, the parties agree that unrequested transfers of teachers during the school year are to be minimized and avoided whenever possible. If a teacher disagrees with this transfer, they may present a written request to appeal the transfer to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources or his/her designee. The teacher should initiate this appeal within five (5) days of notification of assignment. The review committee shall meet within five (5) days of receipt of the request. The administration shall notify the Association of any appeals and the dates and time their reviews will be held. The committee shall be composed of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, the involved principal and one (1) R.E.A. representative. The final decision shall be made by the Administration.
