Common use of Transportation Expenses and Conditions Clause in Contracts

Transportation Expenses and Conditions. The Authority shall reimburse each employee for all necessary authorized travel and other expenses. Use of the employee’s own vehicle for transportation in connection with assigned duties must be authorized before reimbursement will be made. In such cases, the Authority shall reimburse the employee at the rate of thirty-one cents (31¢) per kilometer, or any higher amount as authorized by Authority policy. An additional six cents (6¢) per kilometer will be paid to employees who are required to use their vehicles for the transport of goods as part of their job function.
