Common use of Union Representation/Disciplinary Action Clause in Contracts

Union Representation/Disciplinary Action. An employee subject to disciplinary action which is to be recorded in the employee’s personnel file, shall have the right, to the presence of a Union Committee Person or a Union committee member. If no in-house Union representative is available the Employer will contact the Union office to insure a representative is present. The Employer further agrees to advise the Unit Chair in advance of any upcoming disciplinary meetings.
