Union Representative’s Authority Clause Samples
The Union Representative’s Authority clause defines the scope of power and responsibilities granted to a union representative within the context of a collective bargaining agreement or workplace setting. Typically, this clause outlines what actions the representative is authorized to take on behalf of union members, such as negotiating with management, filing grievances, or representing employees in disciplinary meetings. By clearly delineating the representative’s authority, the clause ensures that both the employer and employees understand who can act on the union’s behalf, thereby preventing disputes over representation and maintaining orderly labor relations.
