Union Representative’s Authority. The Board acknowledges the right of the Union to select Grievance/Negotiating Committee for the purpose of collective bargaining and to present complaints or grievances to management. The Union shall advise the Board of the names of the representatives and their alternates. The Board will recognize these representatives (or their alternates) in the settlement of differences arising between the Board and the Union or its members employed by the Board. The Board further acknowledges that a union committee person will be allowed, after receiving approval from their supervisor, to leave their work area to carry out their duties in accordance with settling grievances and shall do so without loss of pay. Any and all grievances resolved at any step of this grievance procedure shall be final and binding on the Board, the Union and all members of the bargaining unit.
