Common use of UNION SECURITY & CHECK-OFF Clause in Contracts

UNION SECURITY & CHECK-OFF. Inside employees and students, as defined in as a condition of employment, become members of the Union on hiring and retain membership for the duration of recognition by the Employer of the Union as sole bargaining agent for Inside employees. Students may be employed either for the summer vacation period extending April to September each year, or on work terms of a co- operative training program with a university or college. The only provisions of the Agreement applicable to students are:
