United States If you acquired the software in the United States, Washington state law governs the interpretation of this agreement and applies to claims for breach of it, regardless of conflict of laws principles. The laws of the state where you live govern all other claims, including claims under state consumer protection laws, unfair competition laws, and in tort.
District The public agency or the school district for which the Work is performed. The governing board of the District or its designees will act for the District in all matters pertaining to the Contract. The District may, at any time:
1.1.23.1 Direct Developer to communicate with or provide notice to the Construction Manager or the Architect on matters for which the Contract Documents indicate Developer will communicate with or provide notice to the District; and/or
1.1.23.2 Direct the Construction Manager or the Architect to communicate with or direct Developer on matters for which the Contract Documents indicate the District will communicate with or direct Developer.

School District For purposes of administering this Agreement, the term "School District" shall mean the School Board or its designated representative.

United States Law The determination of whether Information and Inventions are conceived, discovered, developed or otherwise made by a Party for the purpose of allocating proprietary rights (including Patent, copyright or other intellectual property rights) therein, shall, for purposes of this Agreement, be made in accordance with applicable United States law.
County Responsibilities 5.1 The COUNTY shall designate a COUNTY staff member to act as COUNTY’s Project Manager. It is agreed to by the parties that the COUNTY’s Project Manager will decide all questions, difficulties, or disputes, of whatever nature, which may arise relative to the interpretation of the plans, construction, prosecution and fulfillment of the Scope of Services, and as to the character, quality, amount and value of any work done, and materials furnished, under or by reason of this Agreement. The COUNTY’s Project Manager may appoint representatives as desired that will be authorized to inspect all work done and all materials furnished.
5.2 The COUNTY shall pay in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Agreement.
5.3 The COUNTY retains the right to inspect all work to verify compliance with the contract documents. Such inspection may extend to all or any part of the work and to the manufacture, preparation or fabrication of the materials to be used.
Department Seniority Department seniority is defined as continuous length of service in calendar days within the employee’s department and where applicable, shall be used for internal department processes, such as vacation and schedule bids.
