Common use of Urgent Review Clause in Contracts

Urgent Review. If your Provider believes that your situation is urgent under the law, your external review will be conducted on an expedited basis. An urgent situation means one in which your health may be in serious jeopardy or, in the opinion of your physician, you may experience pain that cannot be adequately controlled while you wait for an external review decision. You can request an expedited external review by calling Customer Service at the number listed on the back cover of this Agreement. If you request an expedited external review, we will respond as quickly as reasonably possible, but not longer than 72 hours from the time of your request.β€Œ
