Common use of Urgent Works Clause in Contracts

Urgent Works. If any urgent work (in respect whereof the decision of the Engineer-in-Charge shall be final and binding) becomes necessary and the Contractor unable or unwilling at once to carry it out, the Engineer-in-Charge may by his own or other work people carry it out as he may consider necessary. If the urgent work were such as the Contractor is liable under the Contract to carry out at his expense, all expenses incurred on it by the Corporation shall be recoverable from the Contractor and be adjusted or set off against any sum payable to him.

Urgent Works. If any urgent work (in respect whereof the decision of the Engineer-in-Charge shall be final and binding) becomes “Urgent Works” become necessary and the Contractor contractor is unable or unwilling at once to carry it outout at once, the Engineer-in-Charge charge may by his own or through other work people carry have it carried out as he may consider necessary. If the urgent work were "Urgent Work" shall be such as in the Contractor opinion of the Engineer-in-charge the contractor is liable under the Contract contract to carry out at his expenseexpenses, all expenses incurred on it by the Corporation department shall be recoverable from the Contractor contractor, and be adjusted or set off against any sum payable to him.

If the urgent work were Urgent Work shall be such as the Contractor contractor is liable under the Contract to carry out at his expense, all expenses incurred on it by the Corporation Company shall be recoverable from the Contractor and be adjusted or set off against any sum such payable to him.
