Common use of Use of Consultants Clause in Contracts

Use of Consultants. Concessionaire shall employ licensed contractor(s) in the completion of all required construction work. Additionally, Concessionaire shall utilize professional contractors and consultants, including architects(s) and engineer(s), acting in accordance with the latest American Institute of Architects’ standards of practice to develop comprehensive construction plans, including schematic design plans, design development plans, and working drawings, and to conduct independent inspections and monitoring of all construction. Concessionaire agrees to select contractors and consultants who are fully licensed to practice in the State of California and are acceptable to the State. However, in no event shall State be deemed to have control of or be responsible for Concessionaire's final hiring decisions, the day-to-day management of the project, or administration of contracts with contractors or consultants. Contracts between Concessionaire and any contractor or consultant must be approved in writing by State in advance of execution by Concessionaire.
