Use of facilities and communication. A. The privileges granted under this section shall be exclusively for the Association. B. Authorized representatives of the Association shall have the right to use school buildings at such times that they do not interfere with school activities, provided the authorized representative has been given such permission and assignment of space by the building principal, and approved by the Superintendent. C. The Association shall submit to the Superintendent by September 15th of each school year, the names of its authorized representatives who will be transacting official Association business. In the event that there should be additions or deletions, they shall be forwarded to the Superintendent immediately. Official Association business shall include: conferring with the building principal or supervisor and meeting with the employees. X. Xxxx authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property during such times which do not interfere with or cause interruptions of the employee‘s work responsibilities as determined by the principal. E. The authorized representative of the Association shall, as provided herein, post notices of activities and matters on appropriate bulletin boards at each school site, as determined by the principal. The space and length of time for such use will be determined by the building principal on individual requests by the Association representatives. The Association shall, as provided herein, use employee mail boxes located at each school. All such posting and putting up of mail will be handled during non-instructional time, before and after the students‘ school day and during the employee‘s duty-free lunch period. A copy of each school-wide communication placed in the employee‘s mail box by the building representative or his/her designee, will be given to the principal or his/her designee prior to placing in mail boxes or posting. All bulletins, printed materials, and other communications distributed under this section must show originator‘s name and address. The following logo will appear on all Association bulletins, printed materials, and other communications distributed under this section. Merchant advertisements will be limited to the ―Chalktalk‖. The Association agrees that they will limit their distributions to a maximum of five items a week. F. The Association‘s authorized representative shall be given an opportunity at each building faculty meeting to present brief reports and announcements. Attendance at this portion of the meeting is strictly voluntary. X. XXXX shall have the right to use the school electronic mail system to conduct business between the union and the district under the following circumstances: 1. General electronic communications shall be between the Association President and the District Administration. 2. MCEA membership shall have use of the school electronic e-mail for the following purposes: a. Informing membership of scheduled meetings; b. Distributing the following information to the Association membership: (1) Surveys (2) Newsletters (3) Ratification materials 3. MCEA shall initiate its electronic communication regarding number two above with members through its faculty representative and/or executive board members who in turn will forward the communication to members at their site.

Use of facilities and communication. A. The privileges granted under this section Association and bargaining unit members shall be exclusively for allowed to use school buildings during the one (1) hour period immediately prior to the beginning of the teachers' work day and during the two (2) hour period immediately following the end of the teachers' work day provided such meetings do not interfere with previously scheduled meetings. The Association and bargaining unit members shall be allowed to use school buildings at other times with the authorization of the building principal. Additional custodial and other expenses incurred as a result of the meetings officially sanctioned by the Association will be paid by the Association. Every effort will be made to schedule the meetings with the principal three (3) days in advance. B. Authorized representatives of the Association Teachers shall have the right to receive notice of Association meetings in school mailboxes and/or through e-mail and all Association publications and announcements in their school mailboxes. The use school buildings at such times of courier service shall be limited to the distribution, to the Escambia Education Association, of documents or other data required to be furnished to the Association by this Collective Bargaining Agreement. Courier service relationship with the Association will be limited in scope to that they do which, on advice of counsel, would not interfere conflict with school activities, provided the authorized representative has been given such permission and assignment of space by the building principal, and approved by the SuperintendentUnited States Postal Regulations. The Association shall submit to the Superintendent by September 15th At least one-third (1/3) of existing bulletin board space in each school year, the names of its authorized representatives who will be transacting official Association business. In the event that there should be additions or deletions, they teachers' lounge shall be forwarded to the Superintendent immediatelyavailable for Association use. Official Association business shall include: conferring with the building principal or supervisor and meeting with the employees(No political posters.) X. Xxxx authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property during such times which do as long as instructional operations are not interfere disturbed. Upon arrival at the school building the Association's Representative will check into the office. If the presence of authorized Association representative(s) would disrupt a specific function or circumstance at the worksite, the administrator may so notify the Association representative(s) and work collaboratively with or cause interruptions of the employee‘s work responsibilities as determined by the principalrepresentative(s) to establish a suitable alternative time. E. The authorized Officially designated Association Representatives shall be allowed to make brief announcements during faculty meetings and/or through e-mail. Upon adjournment of regular faculty meetings, an Association representative of the Association shall, as provided herein, post notices of activities and matters on appropriate bulletin boards at each school site, as determined by the principal. The space and length of time for such use will be determined by the building principal on individual requests by the Association representatives. General electronic communications shall be between the Association President and the District Administration. 2. MCEA membership shall have use normal operation of the school electronic e-mail for day. F. The Association will be provided a mailbox at the following purposes: a. Informing membership of scheduled meetings; b. Distributing the following information to the Association membership: (1) Surveys (2) Newsletters (3) Ratification materials 3X. X. Xxxx Center.
