Use of Performance Evaluation. The performance evaluation shall be a part of the employee’s personnel file and may be used as a factor in determining promotion, demotion, internal appointment, reassignment, layoff, merit increase, disciplinary action and satisfactory completion of the trial service period. There will be no reference made to discipline received by an employee in their performance evaluation, but the basis for the discipline will be described.
