Vacation Donation Clause Samples
Vacation Donation. Employees who have a need for additional paid leave because they have exhausted all paid leave and who have a serious personal or family medical hardship or catastrophic illness or injury are encouraged to refer to the Vacation Donation section of the contract (Article 16 -Vacation, Section 7. Vacation Donation). Other employees may be able to assist with donated paid leave hours. NOTE: For information on disability leave without pay, see Article 18, Leaves of Absence, Section 6.
Vacation Donation. An employee may donate his/her available and unused vacation based on the Hospital’s vacation donation policy as it may exist and be modified from time to time.

Vacation Donation. Employees are permitted to donate their vacation time to coworkers subject to the following guidelines:
23.11.1 The need to receive donated vacation time must be related to the catastrophic illness or injury of the employee or a member of their immediate family as defined in Article 31, Section 31.3 (“Bereavement Time”), or due to an unexpected dire situation.
23.11.2 Employees must exhaust all eligible paid time prior to utilizing donated vacation.
23.11.3 The maximum number of donated vacation days an employee can receive is twenty (20) days, unless expanded by mutual agreement.
Vacation Donation. The employer will maintain its “Emergency Transfer of Vacation Leave” policy for the duration of this Agreement.
Vacation Donation. Any Houston County employee who desires to transfer (donate) accumulated vacation leave to the sick account of another employee, may voluntarily and confidentially elect to do so by completing the form available in the Human Resources Office, which indicates the name of employee to whom the leave is to be transferred/donated to, the donor’s name and social security number, the number of hours (whole hours only) to be transferred, the donor’s signature and current date. Pursuant to County Policy, Employees may donate up to 32 hours of their accumulated vacation accrual per year. The donor’s vacation donation will be computed at the donee’s pay rate.
Vacation Donation. For a critical or catastrophic personal or family emergency, the Company may at its discretion permit employees to donate their unused vacation, in no less than one-day increments, to a co-worker, subject to limits on individual and collective donations that will be set by the Company on a case-by-case basis.

Vacation Donation. State Benefitted Employees shall be able to donate accrued vacation leave for the use of other state benefitted employees who have exhausted their sick leave as permitted by Minnesota Statutes Chapter 43A.1815. An employee may donate up to forty (40) hours of accrued vacation leave each fiscal year to the sick leave account of one or more State employees. If the statutorily defined limit changes during the term of the contract, the statutorily defined limit shall prevail.
Vacation Donation. Employees may donate accrued vacation hours to other employees if the receiving employee is on an approved agency/federal/state leave. Upon request through HR, and with the authorization from the affected employee, HR will send an all staff email requesting contributions with a brief explanation of the reason for the needed donation. All vacation donations will be converted to cash value based on the value of the hours donated.
