The "Vacation Lists" clause establishes the procedures and rules for scheduling and managing employee vacation time within an organization. Vacation Lists. Vacation lists shall be posted on or before the 31st day of January of each year, showing the days vacation each employee has accumulated. Vacation lists shall be the responsibility of the Department Head.

Vacation Lists. July 1st to December 31st For the vacation period July 1st to December 31st, each department shall post a list by February 1st and the employee shall indicate by February 15th the vacation period he/she wishes. The Department Head shall post this list of the vacation periods by March 15th. After this date, the Department Head or the employee shall not alter that vacation periods unless by mutual consent. The Department Head shall then set the vacation periods, taking into account the wishes of the employee on the basis of seniority, insofar as the Department Head considers consistent with the efficient functioning of the department; but consideration of seniority shall be related only to the first three (3) weeks of an employee’s vacation.
Vacation Lists. Each department or section shall be required to post a vacation list where it can be seen by all employees in the department or section. A copy of these lists will be made available to the Secretary of the Union. These lists will be used from year to year to determine the choice of vacations for all employees in each category. Where there is an even number, the first two (2) names on the list will reverse order at the bottom of the list each year. Where there are an odd number, the first two
Vacation Lists. (a) Vacation periods will be administered three (3) times per year covering three (3) four (4) month periods.
(i) The first submission will be for the period of February 1st through May 31st. The deadline for this submission will be November 1st of the preceding year. Requests will be administered by the employer by no later than December 1st.
(ii) The second submission will be for the period of June 1st through September 30th. The deadline for this submission is April 1st. Requests will be administered by the employer no later than May 1st. This submission period will include any requests for the month of December, including the Christmas/New Year’s holidays.
(iii) The third submission will be for the period of October 1st through January 31st (with the exception of the Christmas Season requests as outlined in item (ii) above). The deadline for this submission will be August 1st. Requests will be administered by the Employer no later than September 1st.
(iv) Every reference to a submission deadline date shall be considered 23:59:59 hours on the prescribed deadline day. All vacation requests submitted outside of the submission deadlines shall be processed on a first come, first served and operationally feasible basis.
(v) Vacation submissions cannot exceed vacation allotments in banks at the time of submission.
(b) Employees will submit all vacation requests electronically via the scheduling software. Approvals for vacation requests will be based on operational requirements. Any conflict with vacation choices that arise shall be decided on the basis of seniority up to the deadlines established as above. Requests which cannot be approved will be placed on a waiting list and will be given future consideration based on seniority. After the respective deadlines above, vacation approvals shall be decided in favour of the employee first requesting the vacation period over which there may be a conflict.
(c) When a realignment or reposting of the master schedule occurs, the parties shall agree to a new vacation submission deadline for any vacation submission period affected by the realignment. In such situations the following shall apply:
(i) Employees will be given the opportunity to resubmit all vacation requests, subject to approval/denial in accordance with the provisions above, to cover any changes to one’s schedule that may have resulted due to the realignment.
