For all the measurement points defined in the central zone: The individual final tread depths have to be 2 mm ± 0.4 mm The average tread depth has to be 2 mm ± 0.2 mm For all the measurement points defined in the shoulder zone: The final tread depth in the shoulder zone shall not be higher than 2 mm. If one of the above conditions is not met, another candidate tyre shall be prepared.
