Common use of Verification of Information Clause in Contracts

Verification of Information. First Community Credit Union reserves the right to verify any and all information you have provided to us in the establishment of any account. In conjunction with the establishment of an account, you authorize us to obtain any credit report we deem necessary. A Taxpayer ID or Social Security Number is required to open an account. In accordance with the U.S.A. Patriot Act to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means to you: when you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
