However, your e-mail is actually sent via your own software and, as a result, is not secure. Because of this, you should not include confidential information, such as account numbers and balances in any e-mail communication. You cannot use e-mail to initiate Service transactions. All such transactions must be initiated using the appropriate functions within the Service. Neither the Service provider nor the Financial Institution shall be liable for any errors, omissions, claims, or problems of any kind involving your e-mail.
Electronic Mail Electronic mail capabilities as available to unit members in the course of their work may be used for the purpose of reasonable communication on union matters consistent with applicable law and the State of Maine E-Mail Usage and Management Policy. Any use of the State’s e-mail system under this Article must be of an incidental nature (e.g., meeting announcements) and must not interfere with State government functions and purposes.
