Electronic Monitoring. All observations shall be conducted openly. Mechanical or electronic devices shall not be used to listen to or record the procedures of any class without the prior knowledge and consent of the teacher.
Electronic Monitoring. The Sector reserves the right to modify/update their At-Sea 10 Monitoring Program in the event that Electronic Monitoring (EM) is approved by 11 the Agency during the fishing year upon the discretion of the Sectors Board of 12 Directors. Upon approval by the Agency and subsequently the Sectors Board of 13 Directors, EM may be adopted by some or all Sector Vessels in accordance with EM 14 standards.
Electronic Monitoring. (a) Monitoring equipment may be used to protect the safety of employees, clients and persons involved with the Authority, or to protect the assets or property of the Authority.
(b) Monitoring equipment will not be installed by the Authority in staff washrooms or lunch rooms.
(c) Such equipment will not be installed without prior notification to the Union.

When the Employer becomes aware of any audio or video surveillance device placed in a resident’s room, the Employer will discuss the need for such device’s presence with the party who placed the device to see if the reasons for why the device was placed can be relieved. Where the resident or party who placed the device continues to require its placement, they will be advised that the device must be inoperative or covered up when care is being provided by staff.

Such consent shall be subject to withdrawal at any time and must be renewed for each contract year. The employer agrees that employees shall be notified of the purpose of such monitoring and any occasions under which it has occurred.

Such recordings shall be used for evaluation purposes only and will not be shared without the employee’s written consent.
Electronic Monitoring. Employees shall be made aware of any electronic monitoring used by the Employer as a means to monitor and evaluate the performance of individual employees. It is recognised that volume measurement may be necessary to obtain an objective evaluation of the level of production; however, electronic monitoring shall not be used as the sole means of evaluating individual performance.
