Common use of VOLUNTARY ADDITIONAL HOURS REQUEST Clause in Contracts

VOLUNTARY ADDITIONAL HOURS REQUEST. In accordance with the provisions of clause 13A of this Agreement, I confirm my wish to work Voluntary Additional Hours, subject to such work being available and this request being approved. I understand that I will not be entitled to any additional payments and that such hours will be paid at the relevant ordinary time rate provided for in Schedule 1 of this Agreement. In this context, I acknowledge I have elected to forgo overtime rates that might otherwise apply to these hours under the relevant Award or similar industrial instrument. Any such voluntary additional hours shall attract employer superannuation contributions under the relevant legislation, but shall not be counted for the purposes of paid leave entitlements such as annual leave, personal leave or long service leave. I note that I may alter my preferences or withdraw from this arrangement by giving not less than two weeks’ notice and submitting an amended preference form. Changes to availability for individual days or times may be advised by making a suitable entry in the “Availability Book”. ”. However, an entry in the “Availability Book” does not constitute and alteration to my “preferred hours” election, other than in relation to the nominated day/time.
