Common use of Voluntary Furlough (Long Term) Clause in Contracts

Voluntary Furlough (Long Term). Upon determination by the appointing authority that work force reductions may be necessary in the department, the appointing authority, with the approval of the Director, Department of Human Resources, may grant a corresponding number of permanent employees leave without pay with right of return to the same class in the department in which the leave was granted for up to twenty-six (26) biweekly pay periods subject to the following conditions:
