VOLUNTARY MEASURES. When proposing an agreement on voluntary measures to the parents and child, the director must, before reaching an agreement with them, inform them that parents and a child 14 years of age or over have the right to refuse such an agreement. However, he must encourage a child under 14 years of age to adhere to the agreement if the child’s parents accept it.
